The Development Assessment Forum met in Melbourne on 1 June 2011

A presentation was made by the Productivity Commission about its study Performance Benchmarking of Australian Business Regulation: Planning, Zoning and Development Assessment.

The meeting also agreed two new projects for the 2011-12 work program. These are the:

  • Improving Development Assessment Applications/Business Practices Project and
  • Development Assessment Panels project.

Productivity Commission released Final Report Performance Benchmarking of Australian Business Regulation: Planning, Zoning and Development Assessment

In April 2011, the Productivity Commission released the Final Report from its inquiry into the planning, zoning and development assessment.

The Development Assessment Forum made a submission to the Inquiry and consulted with the Commission during the Inquiry.
